flashes of light
zoom past me as I stand
the image becomes bright
and I see where I am
alone
in the street
crowds of strangers
rush past me as I wait
no one stops to greet me
I am no one to them
alone
in my mind
millions of synapses
jolt through me as I think
thoughts of all my doubts
fears and anxiety
alone
in my life
