it's been so long since I laid eyes on you
seems like I forgot what it was like
and I just want to talk to you like we did before
and share some more good times but I don't see you anymore
so I stand outside and gaze at the moon
and I wonder if you watch it too
and I just can't help looking up and sighing at the stars
and hope that maybe one day I will hold you in my arms
I wipe my tears away
and pretend that I'm okay
I'm trying to live without you here
but it seems I can't get anywhere
and I just want to be with you and never ever part
cause I can't fill this emptiness that I feel in my heart
how could I forget all about the past
when these memories won't let me rest
and I just want to stand outside and see your face again
and wish you well in your new life that you will begin
I'm gazing up at the stars
